The SkyEye62AM astrophotography camera from ToupTek Astro is a high-quality monochrome camera specifically designed for astronomical applications. Equipped with the powerful Sony CMOS IMX455 sensor in full-frame format (35.97 mm x 23.98 mm) and a diagonal of 43.3 mm, it delivers an impressive resolution of 9568 x 6380 pixels. The pixel size is 3.76 µm, and a 16-bit ADC ensures high data precision.

Thanks to active cooling, which achieves temperatures down to -35 °C below ambient, and Zero-Ampglow technology, amplifier glow is completely eliminated. Additionally, the integrated anti-condensation heating prevents fogging of the optics. The camera features 512 MB DDR3 buffer and comes with a USB 3.0 port as well as two USB 2.0 ports.

The device mounts via an M54x0.75 internal thread with a back focus of 17.5 mm. This model offers reliable performance for demanding astrophotographers.

What’s in the box

The SkyEye62AM astrophotography camera comes with a comprehensive set of accessories. Along with the camera itself, a dust cap is included to protect the sensor.

For power supply, a power adapter and cable are provided, along with a 1.5-meter USB 3.0 high-speed cable for data transfer.

Several adapters and extension tubes are also included, such as an M54-M48 adapter ring (21 mm), an M48 extension tube (16.5 mm), and an M48-T2 adapter ring (0 mm), as well as a hex key. A durable hard-shell case is provided for secure transport and storage, completing the package.

Connections

The rear panel of the SkyEye62AM features a USB 3.0 port and an integrated USB 2.0 hub with two ports. Four LEDs provide status indicators: Power, System, TEC (Thermoelectric Cooling), and Fan. Additionally, the camera includes a DC 12V 3A socket (5.5 x 2.1 mm) for power supply.
