The 2024 workflow on the nicely framed Bodes-, Cigar- and Garland-Galaxy picture from 2022. The details are much clearer, especially on the Cigar Galaxy.
Messier 81 is a grand design spiral galaxy in the constellation Ursa Major, located about 12 millionly away. It reaches its annual culmination at astronomical midnight around mid-February.
Bode’s and Cigar Galaxy, two well known Galaxies on the spring sky. I really like the result for only 30 minutes total exposure.
