Messier 81 – Widefield, Mar’25

Messier 81 and surroundings in widefield!
Luminance captured at Hohen List, RGB taken earlier in Koblenz.
6h20m total exposure – a great showcase of what this scope-camera combo can do.

Astrophoto: Bode’s Galaxy and Cigar Galaxy – Messier 81 and Messier 82 – 03/22

The 2024 workflow on the nicely framed Bodes-, Cigar- and Garland-Galaxy picture from 2022. The details are much clearer, especially on the Cigar Galaxy.

Messier 81 – Bode’s Galaxy

Bode’s Galaxy is a spiral galaxy in the constellation Ursa Major, located about 13.4 million light-years away, and reaches its annual culmination at astronomical midnight and is best observed mid February.

Bode’s Galaxy and Cigar Galaxy – first dithering – April 2021

Bode’s and Cigar Galaxy, two well known Galaxies on the spring sky. I really like the result for only 30 minutes total exposure.
