Messier 31 – Andromeda Galaxy

Andromeda Galaxy, DSRL OSC with H-Alpha Layer. The little reddish dots are active regions where new stars are born. Just like for example the Orion Nebula in our galactic neighbourhood. - But in another galaxie - just awesome!

The Andromeda Galaxy, located in the constellation Andromeda approximately 2.5 million light-years away, is the closest large spiral galaxy to the Milky Way and reaches its annual culmination at astronomical midnight in early October. Around the 5th of October.

The Andromeda Galaxy, Messier 31, M31. Also on this picture is Messier 32, M32 - the bright light left of the Andromeda Galaxy core - and Messier 110, M110 - the little galaxy in the lower right of the picture.

My 2023 reprocessed version of my 2021 Andromeda Galaxy data. A comparion of both versions is worth a look.
