Messier 71, May’25

Captured M71 in Sagitta—about 13,000 ly away—a loose, orange‑rich globular cluster that truly pops in color during our 2–4 AM session!

The fourth globular cluster on my photographic journey through the world of the spherical companions of the Milky Way, which seem like their own isolated worlds apart from ours.

I was particularly excited about Messier 71, not least because of the many orange stars. In terms of color, M71 truly stands out.

The images were taken at night between 2:00 and 4:00 a.m.
