About half a month ago, I photographed the same object at a focal length of 1,800 mm and was only moderately pleased with the result. The reason is that the dwarf galaxy does not show any visible nebulous structures – at least not with my equipment – and fills a fairly large portion of the frame.
The latter point in particular was what prompted me to try photographing it again at a shorter focal length.
