Total Solar Eclipse – Corona, Aug’26

I’ll describe the trip to León in a separate article. So here I’ll focus exclusively on the image.

The final version of the image is an HDR image composed of 7 individual exposures. The exposure series is shown in the table.

I processed the base HDR image using a rotational gradient technique. For this, I used Siril (for the Larson-Sekanina filter) and Affinity Photo.

I additionally applied high-pass filters (8px, 16px, and 32px) to it.

Using layer techniques, masks, filters, and other basic functions, I then created the final image.
