Cygnus Loop, Aug’24

A 22-hour project that fit almost perfectly on the full-frame sensor. The Cygnus Loop in Cygnus is a great late summer object.

NGC 6995 – Bat Nebula

The Bat Nebula, a small portion of the Eastern Veil Nebula located in the constellation Cygnus approximately 2,400 light-years away, reaches its annual culmination at astronomical midnight early August.

Caldwell 34 – Western Veil Nebula

The Western Veil Nebula is a supernova remnant located in the constellation Cygnus, approximately 1,470 light-years away from Earth, reaching its annual culmination at astronomical midnight in early August.

Messier 1 – Crab Nebula

The Crab Nebula (Messier 1) is a supernova remnant in the constellation Taurus at a distance of roughly 6,000–6,500 lightyears, and for mid‑northern observers it reaches its annual culmination at astronomical midnight and is best observed in December.

Crab Nebula – Messier 1, Jan’24

In the year 1054, visible even during the day as a supernova, the remnant known as the Crab Nebula is now expanding visibly.

SN 2022hrs

The supernova SN 2022hrs was discovered on 04/16/2022.

SN 2023ixf

The supernova SN 2023ixf was discovered on 05/19/2023.

Astrophoto: Pinwheel Galaxy – Messier 101 – 06/23

My 2023 photo of the 21.000.000 LJ away Pinwheel Galaxy. Significantly sharper structures and rounder stars. These are the improvements of the new workflow.

Caldwell 33 – Eastern Veil Nebula

Caldwell 33, also known as the Eastern Veil Nebula, is part of a supernova remnant in the constellation Cygnus, located about 2,500 light-years away. It reaches its culmination around astronomical midnight during the first days of August.

Astrophoto: Eastern Veil Nebula – Caldwell 33 – 08/22

A single software plugin changed the astrophotography game. I had to reprocess the Eastern Veil Nebula another time. This is the version using BlurXTerminator in my process.
